RoundTable Discussion: “Operation Esperanza: the capabilities of the Colombian Aerospace Force at the service of an entire country” by AIRBUS
The Armed Forces and the indigenous people of the Amazon cooperated to find the children who survived alone in the Amazon jungle. Four children had survived – miraculously – 40 days lost in the middle of the jungle.
Weeks before, the Cessna 206 plane in which they were traveling had crashed between the departments of Caquetá and Guaviare, in the south of the country. The children were the only survivors. A search team, made up of about 200 members of the Colombian Military Forces and people from local indigenous communities, found the four minors.
Carlos Baena and Edgar Rodríguez, Captains of the Colombian Aerospace Force (FAC) were selected to fly this mission and in this space, they will be able to share their experience in Operation “Esperanza”.

Keynote: “Seguridad de la información, ciberguerra y computación cuántica” by CYTE
Recent geopolitical events have unveiled the tactical advantage of cyberweapons. Ransomware attacks like Petya and non-Petya, some years ago, showed the effectiveness of digitally targeting critical infrastructures, as opposed to using traditional means such as planes and tanks. Now, this already complex scenario transforms with the emergence of quantum computing. Its almost ‘phantasmal’ processing capability foretells potentially devastating cyberattacks, for which our society seems ill-prepared. This talk presents a brief yet comprehensive overview of the short and medium-term landscape of information security. Additionally, it will discuss how organizations can prepare themselves against this new wave of cyber threats

Keynote “Challenges of Multicrime Digitalization” by Data Tactical Management – Cellebrite
The digitalization of multicrime presents aseries of challenges for law enforcement agencies. As technology advances, criminals also adapt and use digital tools to commit crimes in a more sophisticated manner. Therefore, it is crucial for agencies to modernize their investigative processes and use forensic analysis tools to keep up with criminal tactics in the digital world. One of the main challenges of the digitalization of multirime is the large amount of digital data generated today. Technology advances rapidly, and criminals take advantage of new tools and techniques to commit crimes. For example, the use of cryptocurrencies and the dark web have facilitated the anonymous conduct of illegal activities. Law enforcement agencies must be aware of these new technologies and adapt to them in order to effectively investigate and prevent crimes
